Soz about the lack of updates I've been busy

recieved a load of stuff for the project recently

    Amongst them are:

    Cardkeeper Card retainer
    Swiftech Apogee CPU Block
    Loads of 1/2" Elbows
    Loads of Jubilee Clips
    Cable Braiding Black
    Cable Ties white
Matt Black Car Aerosol Spray Paint
    UV Green Water Dye
    2 x Green LED's
    2 x white LED's
    1 x 12v LED inverter
    Bolts...lots of Bolts

I also spoke to Alphacool. They said that the block I got was a one-off and they are sending me a new block. Should be with me tuesday.

    All-in-all pretty decent news!

Monday I should be able to work on the project

Dodgy as hell dry test loop. Doesn't look too bad and at least it all fit in

Decided against the elbow in the pumps/res

Put some plumbers tape on the barbs

    Then fitted them

I'm going to see if I can cut this window today

    Hope you like this update

    Masked up:

    Cut it out

Sanded the window from the back and added a trim

Don't think its too bad for my first go

Sorry if this is a bit off topic, but how do you leak test/fill one of those pumps? Do you just pour water [or whatever] into the system until it's full?

window looks good btw. dremeled i take it?

Leak testing is filling the loop bit by bit by pumping the water round bit by bit. Then once full leaving it on for at least 12hours

I think the window looks a bit too rough, not clean enough .

Instead of the blowhole trim, file the edges carefully with different grit sandpaper and then add the window, the effect will be much much better.

    Thanks.

The hole is practically perfect actually - I DID use sandpaper after that initial cut picture. I just like the trim. I may cut out the sections of the trim that are slight bulging out due to the bolts but then I am lazy and have about 16 000000 other things to do at the moment

    Hey guys thanks

Last night I decided to cut some additional holes in the case side. This was really out of necessity rather than anything else in all honesty - the setup just wasn't getting enough air in. I was going with one hole but decided on two for effect

This hole will be filled with 2 x 120mm silenX fans and a grill. Please ignore the orange fan that was a test fit. Also some rubber surround is going to be added.

    Caution: dodgy phone image

Also managed to sleeve up a whole lot of cables too

Also decided that seeing I haven't seen hide-nor-hair of my replacement GPU water block I'm going with a CPU loop on its own for the moment. Another reason for this is due to the fact I am constantly switching out my cards for reviews etc.

    EDIT: All dremel work

Hey kempez, That project is looking very nice.

Woudn't the fans cause the side panel to vibrate meaning more noise will be created?

P.S : Your OCZ ram was sent off today, If there are any delays, Let me know because Royal mail round her has been very slow.

Looks really good with the main side kempez.. are you just putting a basic grille or a designed thing?

@Overclocker: Thanks mate will look forward to that And yeah side may vibrate a bit but low noise aint my top priority tbh

Was gonna get a lazer cut grill (and indeed ordered one) called "hurricane" but someone from Kustom forums is sending me a thermochill grill (looks like AC grill - sweet as) so I;ll get another of them

    anyhoo update:

Water loop for CPU installed. No leaks as usual and looks ok

More pics when I'm not on a lappy and I get another SilenX fan through along with some edging and bits
