atari lynx screen mod

has anybody tried to pull the screen out of an atari lynx and use it to display system info or even as a little monitor??

if not has anybody got any idea about where i could get info to do this sort of thing??

Without an interface chip it's fairly useless to be honest.

would that be a chip from the lynx? cos if it is i could get it...

it would be on the lynx board but would just be a chip with a load of pins and no realy way of telling how you wire it up, if infact a standard vga adaptor would even work.....
.... ie the amout of work to get it working would outway the eventual benafit
