what to do with a busted laptop

    Hi all,

Iv got an old IBM 600E thinkpad laptop, the mouse nipple is bust and the keyboard, also it has no speaker connecting cable.

I`m wondering what do do with, not sure if I can be arsed buying a new keyboard and all they are about £70. Iv been toying with the idea of turning into a super slim workstation. Anyone got any other ideas on what to do with it?

Dunno what Spec it is, but something like a smoothwall box, its small form factor would be a benefit

Turn it into a digital photo frame.
Remove the screen panels, flip it inside out, put a load of photo's on there in some sort of slideshow, and ehhhh, photo frame.

You would need 2 network ports for smoothwall, as you need a interface for green and an interface for red. Min.

You should be able to pick up a 600E keyboard/nipple for £10 on ebay when one comes up. If not, there are plenty of uses better than using it as a clay pigeon...
