    Question XClio A380

God knows where my last post went to

Has anyone got one of these cases and can give a mini review? I have read a review linked from this site and it wasn't too clear.

Can you run it without the lights on - or can it be modded to not show the lights? It looks like a good case but I'll not be able to sleep at night if it's that bright

    Cheers

I have one. It's a ok case I will post some pics if you like. You could always just unplug the fans if it is annoying you .
It is a pritty damm big case, but I think you can get better for the money. I mean I payed 58 squid back in August last year it's now something like 70 squid! Unless you love the looks like me then go for it, that's why I bought it .

the holes on the chases have been covered up by sound proofing. I hope it helps.

Not a bad lookng case quick point No.72, should your CPU cooler not be mounted the other way round?

It looks like the fan will be competing with the system fan, rather than working with it.

    Could be wrong though

Thats a good spot, it is indeed.

No,72, if you switch the heatsink around you should see a couple of degrees drop in temps - the hot air would be quicly exhausted and sucked out by the system fan.

How much difference has the soundproofing made? Ive considered it but never thought it would make that much difference.

It does make a bit of difference, but it is is pointless if you have a noisy GFX like me, I suppose it looks nice.
oh and btw my side case fan (one that comes with the a380 has just broken) I can't be bothered to RMA the case so I will get a new piece of perspecs and get rid of the big fan and put the new piece of perspecs on the side pannel so I can see the whole inside of the case.

    Re: XClio A380

Planning on getting this case very soon, I perticualy like the access of the USB and mic/audio ports on the top. (Who really has there desktop pc ON THERE desktop lol.

    One question thought.

The brackets for the extra HDD right behind the intake fan at the front, think it would be possible to remove them (temp or perm) to allow that HUGE fan at the front to shove more cold air into the computer ?

I read the review and this was the only real negative point to this case, Looks AWSOME though

    Re: XClio A380

Not sure what the cost on this is these days, but as an alternitive I'd have a look at the coolermaster HAF 912+ or BitFenix Survivor
    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/coole...r-case-w-o-psu
    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/bitfe...handle-w-o-psu
Both use a large 200mm fan in the front and can use a 2nd 200mm fan on top for extraction, the main body is wider allowing for more space for cable management and a lower psu design.
