Sony cutting features on PAL PS3

I thought we should have our own discussion on the matter in this forum, as the news topic is bound to fill up with 360 and Wii commenters, and this is our refuge :mrgreen: .

If this is being done for a FUTURE price drop, I wan't to know why Sony are not selling the full featured version now, and then selling this awful monstrosity when they want to drop the price.

They'll be better placed to do so too, as there will be more PS3 games around then, and less people depending on last gen games.

I still fully intend on playing Ace Combat Zero, Gran Turismo 4, MGS 3, GTA and Dropship until new versions are released on the PS3 (except for Dropship).

I also was recommended by the GAME staff that I part-ex my PS2 when I get the PS3. I'll have to hang on to it now.

I might even cancel my pre-order...

I've already done that, Took my Ps2 out of the box and set it back up, And ordered a new pc and a 360 :woowoo:

yeah, thats what i had done seeing as my ps2 broke. i was going to get some cash together to buy a ps3 when i heard of the non BC i thought i was better of waiting till some poor souls start trading their ps2 for ps3 and buy one second hand.

Or you could get a slimline ps2 from asda for £50 :shrugs shoulders:

Yeah paying another £50 on top of the £450 for the PS3 to play older PS2 games seems fair when other countries get a version that plays both for £325. We are so spoilt!

Blackmage was on about getting a 2nd hand PS2 (as his had broke) instead of a PS3 so I was simply suggesting getting a new one from Asda as a 2nd hand one is not likely to be much cheaper.
