BINGO!! i dont justify it, resistance, motostorm and ridge racer are good games, i only play them when i go to my mates with his 42"hd tv, it dosnt get played that much when im at home cus im on pc mostly, but i cant justify paying 425 for it i wouldnt, you see why im not a fanboy!!! but after owning both consoles i (my personal opinon) i think the ps3 is better than xbox360!!!
do what you want with it, i have fun with mine.
oh and im having trouble borrowing a wii of my 7year old nephew!!!

there's millions of forums with people @ war over what console is best!! it is MY opinon, once YOU have owned both consoles then you can tell me your opinon. As for reasons go read the million other forums, their more likely to go into greater detail about whats best!!!
the consoles don't make a difference. they really don't. i put up with poorly designed consoles like the PSP or poorly designed controllers like the dual shock 2 because of the games
if you REALLY want to compare games consoles, then specification is irrelevant (since it ignores the apple-versus-orange issue and the old-games-rock issue). what does matter is the end-user experience, and on that point, the only points where the ps3 is better than the 360 is it's quieter and it's got built-in blu-ray movie capabilities. everything else (interface, online, controller, and so on) is better on the 360. but that won't matter to me when a game comes out that's great and on ps3 - i'll want a ps3 to play it, just as i have a god-awful psp to play great psp games
very true!! i play mame32 with over 5000 arcade games on pc, loads of fun, only some of the games are on xbox live to buy pah!! not with pc, i also own a psp have lots of fun and its blinding to have my ps3 downstairs then while on the bog remote access through my psp the music on my ps3's harddrive and either watch vids or listen to music, i dont think the psp is that bad although the novaltiy factor of using it as a rear view mirror on f1 has been drained., i prefer the menu system on ps rather than xbox (bit clunky), i prerfer the ps controller to the xbox(bit clunky), i could watch youtube vids with me web browser couldnt on xbox, although i never use the ps web browser cus pc is far superior, just finished portable ops on psp really good!!
IMO, if you want something that plays high def, the ps3 is worth the markup for the difference in volume. I'm glad i only bought 2 HD-DVD films, i'll be buying blu-ray just because the 360 is far too loud.

it's not that loud, compared to machines that have come before it. it's not quiet, sure, but considering i have an 8-drive pentium-d machine sat next to the teevee it's not something i let bother me

Well i got RFOM yesterday was playing it lastnite and thought it was brilliant! got to admit i would much prefer to play the game using a keyboard and mouse though, heard this will be an option when unreal is released for the PS3?
After which i borrowed that new Will Smith film from Blockbuster on Blu Ray - The Pursuit of happines (Girlfriends choice honest) must be good because she could actually tell the difference in quality between normal DVD and Blu Ray. Also heard somewhere that not all Blu Ray disks are equal some are encoded as MPEG2 and some as AVC? the latter being the better...?
