    Virtua Tennis 3

The demo of Virtua Tennis 3 is now available from Xbox Live Marketplace, details here: http://www.xboxic.com/news/2589

I'm downloading as we speak, I love tennis games and love the Virtua Tennis series. Top Spin 2 was loads of fun (online play was great) and Virtua Tennis 3 looks set to be even better!

I should be buying this later this month and I'll know for sure after trying the demo out.

I have just played the demo and the game is missing one huge element; vibration.

I never thought vibration in games was that big a deal, but when you don't have it, you really notice! Whilst playing the demo you just don't feel that extra OOMPH when you hit a good smash. It's still a lot of fun, but no vibration is a bit of a let down in my opinion. Vibration worked really well in Top Spin 2 and without it in Virtua Tennis 3, you somehow feel less involved.

I'm hoping it'll feature in the retail release, but I somewhat doubt it. The downside of having a game made for both PS3 and 360, some features you'll get, some you won't.

Vibration aside, it's still a lot of fun.

I'm guessing it's probably because it was developed for the PS3 as well and they couldn't be bothered to activate vibration.

    *update*

I was advised by a friend that you CAN turn vibration on in the options menu. I've just tried it and the game is SO much better, it's very strange that the vibration is off by default but I highly recommend you turn it on when playing the demo. Simply pause the game by pressing start and the option will be there.

In fact, try it both ways. I found it felt surprisingly empty without the vibration.

I'm really enjoying the demo, loads of fun. I do find it pretty difficult though! First load of matches I just kept diving all over the place, then it dawned on me that I need to get into position first before I start bashing the buttons.

Getting the hang of it but still haven't managed to win a match!

It's been receiving really high scores across the board in the Xbox mags.

Strangely enough, the majority of people who have tried the demo haven't taken much of a liking to it.

I think they just haven't given it enough time, it takes time to get to grips with the gameplay but I find it really enjoyable. I'll definately be picking this up when it's released, it'll be awesome on Live.

having played a few games last night I can see where you are coming from, I always seemed to be diving around all the time which was quite annoying and the computer was pretty lame. Wasnt as fast as I was expecting, maybe a different experience on the full release.
