    wii LAN adaptor and accessories

Well i've finally given in and brought my girlfriend a Wii (well i'll get to use it too and was wondering about the LAN adaptor for it. Can i use any USB LAN adaptor or does it have to be the one made specifically for it?

Also what accessories do you lot recommend that i get for it? I've ordered some skins so far.

Charging station? Light gun to go over the remote? any thing else??

    Cheers guys

I have the Datel Adapter and it works perfectly well. You can use some normal usb adapters but I can't remember what one it was. Personally speaking the ommission of an ethernet port and then to go with it the cable is hiddeous in this day and age.

If the wii will be used a lot I would also recommend the Joytech power station for the wiimote(s). If you have a HD-TV it is also probably worth getting a component cable, although its only 480p the picture definitely looks much clear and colors more vibrant over component compared to scart. Though I have to say, go for a 3rd party cable since they will be cheaper.

Finally if you want a second controller which is more than likely with something like the wii, I would suggest that you don't buy one separately and get wii play instead since it comes with a controller and is only about £5 more than buying a controller on its own anyway. Your basically getting wii play for £5 in other words.

PS. Don't forget to download Opera for the wii. It is free to download until the end of June . Hope this helps.

EDIT:Found that unofficial adapter here...its a video. To be honest it's not worth the hassle, just go for a proper one.

If your form the UK check out URL removedthey'll have everything you need and they are far the cheapest I've found online.

But then again, they're not as cheap as me for trying to sneak this URL into all my posts. I think in future I'll contact advertising@HEXUS.net before I get my ass banned

You can use any USB WiFi adapter that's based on the RT2500 chipset, although it doesn't work with Vista.
