Phoenix Wright 2: Ace Attorney - Justice For All

Anyone played this on the DS?

Wondered if it was any good.

I've only recently picked up a DS, so I'm looking to build up a decent game collection. Seems that this might be like Hotel Dusk. I like being a sleuth!

I have only played the first case on phoenix wright 2, Its as amusing as the first game, if you liked that. I wouldn't really put it in the same boat as hotel dusk, its a lot more limited, gameplay wise.

If you enjoyed the first Phoenix Wright game, you'll enjoy the second.

If you haven't played Phoenix Wright before I suggest you start with the first, it's a fantastic series, I've almost finished PW1 and my mate managed to pick up PW2 for a tenner cos of a price error on tesco.com XD He says it's pretty awesome.

Only problem with it is occasionally you get some parts where it's really obscure about what piece of evidence the game wants you to present to continue, but apart from that it's great. There is a load of text, but if you don't mind it, I'd say go for it.

I haven't played either. I've just bought the first one of Ebay, so I'll get the second one if it's any good.

Both seem to have decent reviews.

    agrees with Veles.

It is a good game (not quite as good as the first), but all too often the game would rather tell you what to do than let you use actual logic

They're great fun but often quite frustrating, you'll sit staring at the screen for half an hour wondering what to do, and then find out the answer was right in front of you the whole time.

The more frustrating occasions are when the logic doesn't add up, and you resort to trial and error.

However they are great fun and very rewarding when you finally crack the case.

Its a great game. Everyone should have the Phoenix Write games, along with Trauma Centre too.

If you like Hotel Dusk, you should check out Another Code: Trace Memory, which is very very good.

The third one has just been released in Japan, called Gyakuten Saiban 3. It has a complete english translation option in the game, so you could buy this on the import.

Re: Phoenix Wright 2: Ace Attorney - Justice For All

I enjoyed the first Phoenix Wright alot. Though i think the irony with the game is that it's best played in a place where you can have the sound full on and you're free to shout objection! Not always advisable when you're out with your DS.

I have lent and started playing the 2nd game though i'm not sure if i have the strength to get through it. It's good but not significantly different from the first and those CSI bits are starting to feel alot like drudgery.

I would play number one first...you do need to know stuff in the way the game works, the mind lock thing is cool too

(had a USA import of it a while ago)
