Thanks for that, which car did you start off with by the way? There weren't that many decent cars available for the 10,000 CR initial spend limit.

I started with a 2006 Golf GTI and am now finding it hard to part company with it. To get the money you just have to keep racing and finish well in each race. You get bonus money for the rarity of your car to and the winnings increases as you progress. In the initial stages it is important not to get that much damage done to your car since it can knock a dent in your earnings. When you get into the game it is very addictive...I am finding anyway .

I made the mistake of pretty much sticking with my starter car and modding the hell out of it, and after a while my golf was 500+ horses, pi index was 900 something, and I was running out of races to enter, and although the golf was ridiculosly quick, soo much understeer, and even wheel spin with full throttle in 3rd and 4th, so deleted that file and have started from scratch.

I started with the other VW car you can pick in the european category. Cost about 10k so I couldn't really mod it, since I was playing against hard AI I found it difficult to win against the likes of the Golf GTI, but after I got prize money from a few fourth and third placings, I was able to slowly upgrade it until I could compete with the GTI and win the european cup thingy in the proving grounds.

Well, I persevered and now have a Clio V6 RS that's modded quite nicely.

I played my first online game and smashed my car to bits.

Just a quick question: the damage only lasts for that race doesn't it? i.e. it's not permanent?

The repair fees are taken out of your winnings. The car is fine after the race.

You'll never get a negative winnings value though, it takes a percentage of your winnings away, so no matter how banged up your car is, you'll never have to pay for the repairs out of your pocket, only out of the winnings.

    ^ Phew! That's a relief. I didn't even finish the race...

Yeah if you quit or restart the race it ignores the damage.

I have a question that someone may be able to answer:

On the proving grounds I did not finish first in one of the races so I only won Silver. Hence, I did not win a car. Is there a way I can redo that race to try and win the car again?
