120gb HDD: will a US one work on a UK machine?

Right, as above really. Am off to NY at the end of the month and may grab one whilst I am there.

As stated above the drive will work fine

There is a way however to get a 120 GB WD notebook drive working on the 360 at the moment, which I would imagine could be slightly cheaper.

A guide can be found here:

    http://crunchgear.com/2007/04/23/xbo...20gb-hdd-hack/

Obviously I wouldnt recomend this way of getting a 120GB drive however I know a few people that have done this and have no issues at all

Cool! I think I will leave the modding to those more brave. At $180 i think its going to be cheaper than here by some way, so one will find its way into my suitcase at the end of the month. Now all we need is the release date for the little keyboard thing!

Also the official HDD gives you a cable to transfer your data from the old disk to the new one, which I think is handy...

That might have been implemented in the last update, however as I previously said I wouldnt personally recommend it however I do know a few people that have done this at at the moment they are still playing on Live
