Unhappy xbox 360 - sound but no video

    Hi,

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with their 360 suddenly not showing a picture?

About a week ago (probably the last time I used it) the picture through the component lead went wierd, when I took out the green coloured cable, the picture was steady, but obviously not properly coloured. With the green cable in, the picture was warped, or at least certain colours were.

Now it's completely stopped showing any picture. I also tried my composite lead (core pack, free with a phone) and still get no picture.

Strange thing is, no red lights - yet!

Any help will be much appreciated.

Take it back to where you bought it and say its not showing any picture, or get a vga cable if youve got a lcd and try that/ different composite lead.

Yeah there's quite a few different problems the 360 can get & this is a well known one, most shops get you to call MS & don't want anything to do with the issues, so you'll probably have to call their helpline!

    Thanks guys.

Phones MS, and they're taking it back. Luckily, the original 12 month warranty has been extended by 2 months, as I got it 13 months ago!

Otherwise it would have been a case of waiting for 3 red lights! (Probably by leaving it running with the vent's covered!)

all consoles come with a 3 year warranty. even though the warranty is for 3 red lights, just tell them that you get it and send it back to them

Also, don't send it back in the original box if they ask, because they throw it away and give you a small generic plain white box. That kinda scuppers selling it on for a decent price if you wanted to.
