Super Mario Galaxy Will Bee Great!

Just been on IGN.com, see whats happening with the build up to E3, and apart from a first look at Mario Kart for the Wii, complete with online mulitplayer races and battle mode (sweet - Q1 2008), there was some good Mario Galaxy stuff.

Firstly the game has been dated - November 12th. Remember, remember the 12th of November.

Secondly, there is a very nice new gameplay movie, which is short but sweet. All the usual Mario stuff, including... OMFG... ZOMG... Bee Mario!

I can't link to the video as at the moment you have to be an IGN Insider to view it, but I'm sure you can track it down.

Finally a statement from Nintendo that the 'big 3' (Mario Galaxy, Smash Bros, Metroid Prime 3) will all launch this year.

In the immortal words of Phil Tufnell - Happy days!

Yeah I'm gonna get an NTSC Wii - no waiting months and months (Nintendo are very bad at getting their PAL releases out), no 50hz VC games with borders.

The Wii will happily connect to the Yank server for online play and downloads I'm told, so all should be good.

Sunshine was a bit ropey, yes. It was only great, and Mario games that end up being great are considered faliures. Mario games should be in a league of their own. If you weren't impressed with 64, and you played 64 when it first came out... then no game will ever impress you.

All looked good to me, hope there's no slippage.

I'm ashamed to say I missed out on Mario64 first time around, but plan to enjoy it fully now. Good ole VC. Sunshine I enjoyed, but hoped for too much from.

The bee video is on GameTrailers.com. This game looks pretty friggin awesome, the animation of the bee mario and just the way the game looks in general looks fantastic. I really hope it will be as good as it looks, I can't wait for it.

64 does seem a bit easier. I start playing and got 59 Stars in one session, nearly half of the game done. Although for every 10 times I die, 8 of them are entirely the games fault. Clumsy controls or the camera just picking the most useless angle possible, so I jump in some lava.

I thought none of the big three had a EU date only a US date. Unless Nintendo are doing a worldwide launch. I didn't hear anything from the E3 news. Anyone want to help enlighten me?
