    Re: Bioshock

Played this last night and boy is it good, feel so much smoother and felt like I was in more control than the 360 version.

Had fraps running and maxed at 60fps as I had vsync enabled due to alot of image tearing, but never dipped under 40fps and never missed a beat, but the demo only uses 2 core not all 4 yet.

    Re: Bioshock

Anyone run the demo on a single core? I have a 4000+, 2Gb, 8800GTS - ideally I want to play this on the PC and not have to resort to the 360.

    Re: Bioshock

From what Ive read, it'll use a max of 2 cores, but not quad.

Not sure what the performance benefit is from single -> dual

Nice one notsobig - I'll try to get a couple of mins with the demo tonight before the missus comes back. If all is well the PC is going to be my friend again for a month or so...

    Re: Bioshock

    Just complete the demo

OMG the graphics are amazing. Was playing it at 1680*1050 with settings on high. It was pretty smooth. The water effects where awesome!

ONly slight issue is I kept hearing a beep during play thought it was something on the game but it turns out it was actually my graphics card cooking it hit 85 degrees

    Re: Bioshock

Bought it Sunday for the 360, great game so far Just finished the first area

    - was planning on picking it up for the PC once the price dropped, but I don't think I'll bother after reading about the activation problems and the not-completely-uninstallable SecurePC root-kit (also included with the Demo).

    Re: Bioshock

We (myself and a few mates) played this nearly all weekend.

Cracking game - some things that make you go "oh...." but it's not as scary as System Shock 2.

Is this because I've become conditioned after running round the Von Braun since system shock 2 was released?

Maybe, but I'm now expecting Clive Barkers Jericho to make me run to the light screaming " mommy, mommy where are you mommy" but after playing undying I expect this is not the case.

I can't wait to play this game, I played a bit on the demo, and it was brilliant. Waiting for two things though - me to overclock my CPU, and my new 500GB hard drive; my system is so full I can't fit the game where I want it
