Call of Duty 4 Multiplayer Beta

Sooo, anyone else played it yet? Just given it a quick hour and a half and I like it. The perks and streak rewards are pretty cool, especially Last Stand.

It's got the usual ranking system that's now a staple feature of online FPS war games (Rainbow Six: Vegas, Halo 3), and the further you rank up the more guns and features you unlock. New guns are unlocked as you rank up, but the attachments are unlocked as you complete certain challanges. The ones in the beta are as simple as killing a certain number of enemies or getting so many headshots with a specific weapon to get the new bit. For example, getting 25 kills with the standard M16 got me a red eye sight.

The action is faster than the previous games and it all seems a lot more frantic, especially on the Middle Eastern town map where you can't really sit still anywhere otherwise you'll get shot up.

The graphics are at the standard we'd expect for a game like this. Not the best looking on the platform, but there's a definite improvement over COD3.

    Perks:
    Juggernaut: Increased health.
Sleight of Hand: Faster reload time.
Sonic Boom: Higher explosive weapon damage.
    Stopping Power: Increased bullet damage.
UAV Jammer: Undetectable on enemy radar.
    Deep Impact: Deeper bullet penetration.
Last Stand: Pull out your pistol before dying.
    Steady Aim: Increased hip-fire accuracy.
Extreme Conditioning: Sprint for longer distances.
Martyrdom: Drop a line grenade when killed.

    Kill Streak Rewards:
    3 Kills: Radar
    5 Kills: Airstrike
    7 Kill: Helicopter attack

Re: Call of Duty 4 Multiplayer Beta

their is a way to get call of duty 4 without registering

here is a guide on how to, i have not tried it yet but a friend of mine did and he said it works

    # 1. Plug in 2 Controllers.
    # 2. Sign Controller 1 into the shared account (the one with the Beta)
    # 3. Leave Controller 2 signed out
    # 4. With Controller 1, go to ‘Account Management’ under the Marketplace Blade then ‘Download History’
    # 5. With Controller 2, press the Guide Button then A to access profiles
    # 6. With Controller 1, select YOUR account and sign in
    # 7. Press B on Controller 2 (to exit the guide) then unplug Controller 2
    # 8. Select the COD4 Beta onscreen, then press ‘Confirm Download’
    # 9. The Beta will now download with YOUR account and once done, will work with your account

the only catch is you need to know someone who has the BETA already and someone you can trust with your account details

I thought it was a USA only beta. Not sure but I think I read that on IGN.

If you're a Eurogamer member, click on this link. There were about 17,000 codes left when I got mine.

Didn't even know it was U.S only, I just signed up and a day or two later I got emailed my code.
Amazing game though, big change of pace online when compared the the old ones.
Liking the ranks, the challaneges and unlockables too..

Ooh, just got an email as typing this.. CoD4 beta is having the level cap raised to 16
More guns, more tweaks and unlockables.
