    will my monitor support HD when using a ps3?

    no.

    - Resolution Supported 720x400@70Hz, 832x624@75Hz, 1152x864@75Hz, 1440x900@60Hz, 640x480@60/67/72/75Hz, 800x600@56/60/75Hz, 1024x768@60/75Hz, 1280x1024@60/75Hz

    720p is 1280x720, which is not on the supported list.

    but his monitor is capable of higher res's so surely he'll be ok? it just mite not look as good as it should on his screen??
