for the "he should have kept his mount shut" people, would you expect just as much abuse for someone called, say, "XxXladiezmanXxX", proclaiming their sexuality in their pseudonym? no? well, maybe it's not such a non-issue after all, hmm?
Mods: Please can I change my username to XxXladiezmanXxX?
I used to have a lady on my friend's list called something along the lines of bixexual1. Suffice to say, people didn't poke fun at her. If that would have been a bloke however.

Just seen an example of this sort of thing, in a game of CS:S.
My fault partly for getting involved, but i also felt it something i had to do, after one of my friends (who is bi), got insulted by two or three people on this server.
The two or three people started to make homophobic comments in game, as to which my friend and me replied telling them to stop it. They asked why, and my friend said because he is bi.
This carried on for a while longer, and them my friend left the game, disconnected from ventrilo, all without saying a word. This, understandably made me a bit annoyed, so i carried on with the argument.
I asked one of them 'why are you homophobic?'
he(i assume) then replied 'why do you care?'
i then replied 'as some of my best friends are gay'
reply from him; 'So?.. I bet your gay, as if you weren't you wouldn't give a s***!' (sorry for rule breaking)
After that i left the server...
Makes me wonder about some people some times...
It's something along the lines of "Flame the faggot so nobody will know that I'm secretly yearning for their crotch"
It is a shame how downhill xbox live has gone since Halo 3's release, before, mainly people around the age of 20 or over had the console, so generally people online were actually really nice. I've bumped into some very nice people on shadowrun when it was first released and even during the Halo 3 beta there weren't so many assholes as on Halo 2. What I do like though is the easy mute option, it's so quick.
I'm do the same thing as Steven though, if I'm not playing with mates I just don't bother with the headset and stick to all against all.
You forgot the country, London. Its just to the right of the US of A.
According to Bush, its eye-raq
the only people on cs i have known 2 speak are kids.
halo 3 theres some alright ppl who play it even some of the older americans but it is full of idiotic kids.
there should be some form of age matching on xbl so you only play people over 18 etc.
When Xbox live first started up and Ghost Recon was the main game, it was all so relaxed and, dare I say, more enjoyable. It's still great, but I don't talk half as much as I used to as I can't be bothered getting into arguments.
