    360 Warrenty confusion

The missus got me a 360 for xmas from Game. She has paid extra (on the recomendation of the staff there) to purchase an Accidental Damage and Breakdown Cover warrenty. As far as i can tell the Game warrenty covers electrical and mechanical breakdown which seems fine BUT I know Microsoft extended the Xbox warrenty to 3 years - Is the MS warrenty only aplicable if the machine gets the red rings of death or does it cover anything else?
There is also a warrenty leaflet in the Xbox packaging do i need to do anything with this?
Sorry if this is really obvious to answer but ive not been home over the xmas period and have just borrowed a mates internet to post
    thanks

    Permanently confused

The MS 3 year warranty is for the 3 red lights only:

You don't need to do anything with the MS slip as that's another warranty offer from them, yours is with game.

The one you have covers everything. In fact, when its coming to the end of its life, accidentally drop it down the stairs and get a new one

If you happen to have a full bath too when it drops in (unplugged of course...don't want to die now do you) it would be covered

Stupidity should be but thats another issue...

I presume that anyone that has had a legal accident at somepoint has never complained about how much it is to insure "xyz" tho...
