yes it will gtech.. read around (roll eyes).. the old PSP battery will fit fine, just the casing wont seal the batt.. you'll end up with one end bulged up while another being thinner..

As the new PSP uses 50% less power, your old PSP battery will push ur batt life about 2 times longer compared to the PSP slim

    Re: PSP Slim battery

oh my bad i actually read the question wrong, i thought it was will the new battery into the old psp.
Which i have read wont fit i didnt realise it was the old into the new sorry.

There appears to be some confusion about the PSP Lite's battery life. The system can go up to 8-10 hours ... but only if it's using the battery from the regular PSP.
The PSP Lite will include a smaller battery for the smaller system. The battery that's included with the system will run for about 5 hours while gaming. However, if you have the battery from your original PSP, you'll be able to get 8-10 hours. The problem with this solution? The battery will bulge out of the system. Sony will offer a new backplate for those interested in adding the old battery to the new system.

I never had a problem with the battery life of the original PSP... I guess I don't use it for 6~8 hours every single day.

Neither do I, however i still find it frustrating that i have to recharge it every 2-3 days, when my DS can go for up to 2 weeks.

    Re: PSP Slim battery

I already have a PSP Phat Pandora Battery with the magic memorystick. My memorystick is the Lexar Gaming Edition 1GB. My question is, I want to create DAX's universal unbricker Despertar del Cementerio V3 for a PSP Slim I plan to purchase. However, I'm not sure exactly how to create it. I read the readme file, but I'm confused. Do I simply have to use my Pandora's Magic memorystick and just add the files from Despertar del Cementerio V3 to the memorystick while the original Pandora files remain on the stick? Or, do I keep the memorystick in it's logical format, erase the original Pandora files and only install the Despertar del Cementerio V3 files? Also, what about Despertar del Cementerio V2? Do I need to have made this before creating DAX's Despertar del Cementerio V3? I'm sooooo confused. Please, Please, Please, somebody help me with this problem. I would apperciate if someone could make me a walk-through or atleast post a link to a walk-through. Thanks
