    Re: PS3 80gb=no

ok....... then. no i just use the switch to bump up the native input to hd for xbox media center so i can run it in 1080i... and as for the ps2 i run it in progress scan which further improves it... the inputs aren't a problem at all its just a very useful cable that provides hd outputs to older consoles...
as for the stand yes its for "upto 52 inch"
as for the shelfs i simply meant i have more than enough storage space for varied hardware...

Well whoop di do. Aren't you the big boy then.

And if you read my post you'll notice that nowhere did I say that everyone was the same. I was saying that I didn't have room and didn't want to have multiple consoles under my 32" tv.

Yes, I'm sure 32" is "a bit crap" by your standards, but some of us have families and for that matter mortgages and can't justify buying the latest hardware just because it's available. If fact, just to make you feel even more superior, my 32" is a CRT not an LCD. It's not a case of not having enough connections. I understand the concept of switchboxes and actually own one, but the fact remains that I don't want my living room to start to resemble a branch of Dixons.

    Yeah, silly isn't it?

I mean it does say ** Mature Discussion only - no Flaming** and yet people still feel the need to post meaningless flame threads here and use profanities. If a PS3 user was to do likewise on the Microsoft Gaming section then all hell would break out, and yet when the role is reversed the flame continues unabated here. Seeing as its still pretty cold just best to pull up a chair, warm yourself by the flames, and maybe think about the meaning of life, or even why the op felt the need to start this thread

    Re: PS3 80gb=no

    Right.

I've cleaned up the thread, removed the swearing and insults and, if either gtech OR keef's post require ANY attention from the mods for the next week, you'll both be getting a ban for a while and maybe even permanently.

    keef, stop the swearing.

gtech, stop goading members into a flame war.

The whole point of these separate console centric forums was to avoid the dumb-ass flaming that goes on between fans of the different platforms... now if you're going to carry on acting like kids, I'll treat you like kids and you can go visit the HEXUS naughty step, ok?

If you don't like what someone is saying, use the ignore list!

Better still, if you feel a post is out of line and not in the spirit of what makes HEXUS such a great community, then use the Report Post button!

Now, calm it the hell down and discuss the topics like reasonable adults.

Look for DualShock 3. Its out in Asia already and coming over here soon I hope, although you can import them. Not many games support rumble though.

    Re: PS3 80gb=no

ah right cool.yeah it was one of the main reasons that put me off a ps3:\ i loved the rumble it was something no one else had back when dual shock came on on the ps1.loved it tbh. i still think it makes alot of difference. games like tomb raider and doom really benefit from the rumble and some games are nuts the amount of vibration that kicks out i remember cool boarders 3 on the ps1 you could do this avalanche level and you jump outta a heli onto a mountain and its all falling behind you and even then the dual shock 1 console was kicking out a serious fuss was great fun

as for nick etc if i was biased and fancied flame wars i wouldn't of even bothered posting this.as i've said many times i worship the ps1/2 and my ps2 is still probably my fav console of all time even considering lives features etc etc so no i'm not biased at all to anyone wondering.it just really annoys me when i post something of interest to people and they think i'm biasing it because i own alternative hardware/have my own opinion which i'm entitled too:\
    just really annoys me.
yeah i'd like a ps3 but the letdown features of the lack of dual shock and buggy kernel and glitchy fps lags in games like AC etc really killed it for me...
seeing as AC/Skate were the main reasons i bought a 360/ps3... so being a multi format i had to choose the 360... i wasn't willing to put up with any dodgyness considering the price of a next gen console:\ and gta4 another reason but as the 360 has the exclusive content rights for however long they will last whenever the content appears its just another nice factor of my choice.
but like everyone else we all have our own opinions/choices so if everyone could stop with the omfgz your a .... fanboy of whatever description and just put their points aside it'd be ALOT better.

no way dual shock was around wayyyy before surely?
and rumble packs were sick thinking about it.but only for goldeneye. always making me jump was quality
hated the whole fact you had to pick between a rumble pack or a memory card.so stupid.then they had the *bright* idea of making one pack that does both *clap clap* idk why they had to go in the controller in the first place.stupid idea.and the fact you had to buy them in the first place and run on batterys and be external...
so i think my point still stands as dual shock was an all in one solution that didn't require external power/batteries and didn't add extra weight etc. why nintendo couldn't simply put memory card slots on the machine i don't know:S wasn't exactly a revolutionary concept lol. and it always got so hot

    Re: PS3 80gb=no

but it wasn't a all in one sollution though it required batteries etc and you couldn't have both in at the same time you had to choose between memory card or rumble pack where as the ps1 you could do both as it had independent memory card slots and the vibration wasn't charge/battery powered...
batteries suck... the weight aswell was annoying. dual shock was light plus had "dual" shock inputs not just one motor centered... made it much more fun having 2...
