    PSP Lite & Homebrew

Don't know where to start, I'm interested in getting a PSP Lite but I'm really lost on what's needed to be able to use Homebrew,
I've tried a bundle of forums and they all confuse the hell out of me

Just wondering if there's anyone about that knows these systems in and out that could spare some time for a chat

You'll need a pandora's battery, they sell them on ebay.

You get a memory card and batt, plug them both in and press X then when it resets your running 3.71 m-33.

3.40oe-3.80m33 Custom Firmware Installation Guide. VERY NOOB friendly - PSPMod.com - Sony PSP Mod & Hacks Forums

There are links to downgrading here to, but for the slim you really need the battery.

    Dark-AleX - PSP Developer

    Latest firmware.

If your unsure you can buy the PSPs already done or the batteries off ebay.

    Re: PSP Lite & Homebrew

Or if you have a mate with a homebrew enabled phat PSP he can do the battery for you, downgrade yours, then stick the custom firmware on, and then he can us his own battery back again.

Nice one I've seen a kit around on the web that lets you plug either a phatt or slim battey in,
at the flick of a switch it converts to and from a pandora battery when needed.
Gonna order myself that and a 4gb Duo.

    Re: PSP Lite & Homebrew

One thing that threw me out when i did mine was that the slim has nothing on the screen when you plug in the pandoras battery, this is howerver normal, just wait a little and push X the MEM reader will go mad for a bit and then the PSP will shut down. Then the job is done.
It does actually give you a visual indication with the fat that it's upgrading which is much more reasuring.

    Re: PSP Lite & Homebrew

Still confused, all these guides say I require a PSP with custom firmware already on it.
    Or am I misreading that?

Still not much of a clue as where to start

I have a PSP phat, PSP slim, Pandora batteries, many Duo cards and transfer cables.
