there are 43 ps3 titles scoring 80% or higher on metacritic (of 136 total). 3 score 90%+

there are 87 360 titles scoring 80% or higher on metacritic (of 349 total). 11 score 90%+

yeah, saying there are "no" games on ps3 is being overdramatic, but saying the 360 has a much bigger library of good games isn't.

Re: Xbox - Is it reliable

The problem with an XBOX 360 is that there's lots of not so good games out there. Yes there's lots of good ones - but there's also lots of bad ones... but I suppose that's just personal preference...

Not played on a PS3 yet (couple of my friends have them, but not had the chance yet) but they look pretty cool... but is it worth the extra cost for a console which has similar specs? Yes there's a slight performance increase in the PS3, but is it worth £100 (or whatever it is at the moment)?

Not many people I've spoken to about it at various places (shops, school, friends etc.) seem to think so... but yet again, most of the people I've spoken to (excepting shop staff) HAVE 360s, so they're biased.

there are 87 360 titels scoring 80% or higher on metacritic (of 349 total)
Someone's opinion again it seems.. You can't help thinking that some people actually make money out of playing and reviewing games all day long... which is something they'd probably do anyway, even if they weren't paid for it.

I concur with both points above.

360 has been around allot longer and hence a larger amount of games around - off course with both formats, as well as any other, you will get many great and duff games.

Im sure when the next "wonder" new console is released people will still start to reel off "its got no games" in its first year

I have a cunning plan - don't play the bad ones.

    Genius, huh?

I wonder why some people bother to post sometimes, I really do.

I might have misinterpreted you somehow but demos are free for the 360 as well.
hmm not so sure about that.
When the Devil May Cry 4 demo was released on XBL it was for gold members only.

I downloaded that freely just the other day, I've never paid for a demo over XBL. Gold members might get the content first as some sort of quirk for being a Gold member, but then it does get released to silver for free. People don't sign up to Gold and pay money just to download demos as you would have people believe in the other post. Subscription is for other stuff as well.
