Question GT Force Pro on DiRT

Hi guys, i dug out my old GT Force Pro that was used for GT4 on the PS2 and thought i'd play dirt with it? i downloaded the wingman logitec drivers etc, and i started playing, thing is the acelerator doesn't work? well it does work but as in - its constantly on! brake works when pressed and released. but the acelerator is just running as pressed even when its released.

any ideas? when configuring via the wingman panel, it works properly when pressed down and released...i cant understand why it's doing that in the game.

and settings i should look for?

Re: GT Force Pro on DiRT

something to do with the accel/brake being on the same axis - as in if an analogue stick was pulled right back it would be break, in the middle it would be neutral, and pushed forward accelerate. rather than having two different levels for the two seperate pedals.. im explaining this terribly i know but i had this happen on live for speed before i set it up correctly.

Re: GT Force Pro on DiRT

hmm yea i thought it might be that, but brake and accel are on different axes as default, i tried changing them to the same just to see - thing was still accelerating as before, but this time no brake.

Re: GT Force Pro on DiRT

nothing at all, it's just accelerating constantly, pressed or released. cars just flying in to eveything.

even tried to reverse the axis polarity, still the same.

but in windows under the device properties/calibration - it does work all the way from 0% to 100% so im pretty sure the actual pedal is not messed.

im guessing its a game issue. or control driver issue.

Re: GT Force Pro on DiRT

It sounds like you've already thought about this, but not specifically mentioned it in the above posts so I'll add this anyway...

There's a 'Combined Pedals' tickbox somewhere in either the Windows game controller options or Logitech controller options. Might even be an option in DiRT somewhere as well, I can't remember.

Also, have you tried holding down the brake pedal while pressing the accelerator to see if anything different happens?

Re: GT Force Pro on DiRT

hmm i tried the combined pedal option in the windows game controller options (couldnt see one in DiRT) and accelerates as before, and no response if i press brake.

but if left alone, (no combined pedals) brakes work as normal - still cant get why accel dont work :-(
