anyone know where i can get either nintendo ds r4/m3 simply from
price pls
ds tt is seems to be best at the mo ?
I got my R4DS from gameyeeeah.com
It took a while to deliver but it is the best bit of kit out there IMO.
You will not be dissapointed.
Worth considering some of the other ones though, as the R4 doesn't currently support SDHC if you're planning on using your DS as a PMP.
Check out GBATemp.net for reviews: GBAtemp.net
Seriously consider an EDGE - relatively new and has very good reviews: GBAtemp Forum -> EDGE Review
Cheers for the info - might get something like this, backup every new game he buys then keep it in a safe place!
help
i have done everything that it says to do in the manual but when i put the simply in my machine it says on the screen couldn't find_DS_MENU.DAT what could the problem be?
Please note, although no boardcode and smiley buttons are shown, they are still useable
you need to find the kernal software for your card i had this with my m3 simply 1st time i used it
How can you get the R4 to play videos? I cant seem to get it to work!

A US site so they are cheap but delivery takes about a week or so
It's fairly straightforward. Use DPGTools, load up DPGenc, select the video you want to encode, change the horizontal pixel size to 256 (instead of 128), and hit 'encode'. My first one, I didn't know about the 256 pixel thingy, but the small text in the error said something about not having 256 horizontal pixels. So I changed it!
Just stick the file anywhere on your SD card, and browse to it and run it the same way as an MP3 (through Multimedia).

I have an R4 - it's amazing. Actually seen them on amazon.co.uk, which was surprising. Can't remember where I got mine though...
Surprisingly easy to get m$ messenger running. I want to get Scummvm on there too so I can play Day of the Tentacle and stuff but haven't got round to it yet... too many ds games to be getting on with...
Took me a while to get around to it, too - not least to dig through some boxes to make sure I owned the games. But I found this hand-holding walkthrough reeeeally easy to follow. Monkey Island 2 works a treat!
I can't get sound on The Secret of Monkey Island, though - but I've only tried twice.
Just been looking at this one:
CycloDS Evolution for Nintendo DS - Aria Technology
And feel free to call me a loon, but I can't see anything on there that specifically mentions software to actually back up the cartridges you own (apart from aria's description as a game backup device) - this is the main reason I want it.
The official CycloDS site appears to be down at the moment. :-/
