Went home lunch time and found the new Metal Gear Online Beta in the uk store, it's about 750mb and the good thing is you dont need a key like our US friends. It wont go live until the 21st so download it get it installed and there is a patch for it as well, get it all ready for the 21st so there's no farting arouind on the day.

Stalled at the patch stage for me as well, if they hold off until Monday then we're have to see how their servers hold up.

Stalled many times during the day trying to download the patch for me too. Tried again in the evening using the P2P option and it flew along with no problem. Unfortunately swapping from HTTP option cleared the 20+% I'd already downloaded.

been trying all weekend myself mate, still seems to be fooked, although a few of my mates have managed to get theirs today so keep trying.

METAL GEAR ONLINE TEASER SITEJust as expected the servers cant handle it, good job the're doing this beta test now rather than leaving it till last minute.

Good thing Konami are doing all this now, such a loooooong time before the game's due for release, because if they left it to the last minute (like, a month and a half before release, say), people might start to worry!
