If I connect an XBox 360 to my monitor via DVI >HDMI connection, how will I get sound?

The monitor has no speaker or any connections for a speaker.
I tried Googling this but can't seem to find anything to suggest that the XBox 360 has a headphone jack.
I just want to use heaphones for the sound.

Any way of doing this without paying extortionate ammount of money for special headphones?

It comes with a special adapter that has stereo outputs (the red and white ended cables) that allow you to connect it to your speaker system.
