I'm downloading this now. Taking ages on my Virgin 20mb connection. Must be throttle time although I think Virgin are generally slower despite what they claim.
Anyone tried it? I really liked their Tools of Destruction game.

Ratchet and Clank is one of the main good games that I miss out on being a 360 owner
*sob*
sounds like it should be a leisure suite larry game
Yes, Ratchet and Clank is the only game on the PS3 aside from the long awaited GT5 that I really want to play. I've played through all the previous ones multiple times and they're all good so I'm sure I'd enjoy the new one, but I'm not buying a 400 quid console and an HD telly to play it on just for one game.
Only £280 for a PS3. Now there's no excuse.
A title like this and no SiM yet? I'm shocked to be honest!
Get this game if you liked the last one for its puzzles, have a tenner to spare and realise that this is not a full game (it's about 4/5 hours).
I personally don't class what I'm about to say as a spoiler, more as a warning, but you've been warned in case you have a stricter definition than I do.
(start)
Don't get this if you expect any progression of the story. Nothing of massive importance happens. It picks off where the last one left off, but it doesn't answer the questions you had after playing the last tools of destruction. It's really just a stepping stone into the one after this one if anything.
There's also virtually none of the weapon upgrades as in the previous game. Weapons 'level up' as normal (up to level 5), but there's no way to buy anything in game without being forced to. The bolts are pretty much there for show this time around.
The one thing I did like though was the narrator - the dim-witted pirate. I don't think he was narrating the story last time, but I thought that was a good addition :).
(end)
I liked tools of destruction a lot, and I might even have another play through it at some point, but this new one is no where near as good.
Well after leaving the throttling Virgin to finish downloading it, I had a bash last night. I really liked it. Worth £10. R&C is one of their best titles and it does look gorgeous on the 1080P TV. :) Can't wait for a follow up or the next full game. If things carries on like this, I'll have to get a new hard drive.
Where's the booty?
I've not yet completed the first one and they've already made a new game? - I need to step up my game.
Offtopic but semi-related. If you liked Tools of Destruction and Quest for Booty you may / may not be aware of how many of these games they made for the PS2 (I think there is 3 or 4) And they are dirt cheap these days you can find them on play.com and bargain bins for next to nothing. (Sub £10). Great buy for anyone that isn't spoiled by the PS3's graphical quality going back to the PS2 :)
I enjoyed Quest for Booty, it's very nice and polished for a download extra sort of thing but ultimately it's only 3 hours, and Ratchet and Clank's gameplay is all rather samey so I wouldn't recommend it to anyone but the biggest fans of the series.
Are we not all on the quest for booty?
