Excellent. Looking forward to this one :D
Well the Americans now have a release date 25th September. So we shouldn't be too far off now :D

Threespeech have confirmed that we are getting it the same day, the 25th of September. (http://threespeech.com/blog/2008/09/...ate-confirmed/).
Everyone who's getting this add me on PSN (streetmagix) and we'll organise some races on-line. Could be a lot of fun.
Looking forwward to this one. £11.99 doesn't sound bad to me. Just had my O2 broadband reconnected after moving house too :)
Cant wait for this.......
I've always said that a wipeout game makes a sony console and this looks cracking.
IGN have their review up, pretty good score as well :)

Hmmm looks lovely. Will def be getting this :)Quote:
9.5 Graphics
Simple equation -- take 1080p, times it by 60fps and multiply with some great design and you've got something that's truly spectacular.
Want!!!
Lets hope its as good as the last one's :rockon2:
Have this for my PSP, I wasn't totally excited by it. If it drops to £10 then maybe. It does look gorgeous though!
Has this hit PSN yet? Anyone bought it and want to give their first impressions?
These are the type of games that make me want a ps3 :(
Its on guys, downloading now :D
Its just under a gig. Going really slow for me at the moment but thats probably Virgin Medias fault.
Currently cannot download this :( Get errors when i try to confirm cart. Can't add funds to my wallet, not good at all, really wanted to play this tonight.
Been looking on the official forums, its looking like WipEout HD may be a little on the buggy side. People complaining about crashes, can't download. freezing. So going to hold off (not that i can do anything just yet) and see how things pan out.
Mine downloaded in about ten minutes, no problems adding money, downloading or installing it. I've played it for about an hour, no crashes or any problems.
Cracking little game, well worth the 11.99.
I think I'm one of the unlucky ones. :(
Downloaded and installed without any problems, but it seems to hang at certain points, such as during the little intro vid and sometimes in the menus. It eventually comes back, but at first I was reaching for the power button, thinking it had crashed. Fortunately there hasn\'t even been a hint of it during races, 60fps @ 1080P.
Anyone else experienced similar?
yay finally got it downloaded last night, all i can say about the previous errors, user error, or rather my registered card had been changed :stupid: Next time i'll actually check my account better.
As for the game. Wow, i'm not a graphic whore, but omg, and all at 1080P :D Hopefully give it a proper play tonight.
Downloaded this the other day as well. Took a little bit of getting used to since I've not played a Wipeout since the original. Gotta love Zone mode, but I'm struggling to get gold on all the first set of races. I must be getting to old! :D
If anyone fancies a race and sees me online, I'm Lowe_UK on PSN.
Sweet cheesus this is a good game. If anyone wants a race: toomanycooks
Amazing game. Was playing at work on projector earlier which was fun, but when home playing on a 1080p TV really looks stunning.
Think i\'m going to have to buy this!
If i say that i\'m a hudge fan of the original, not just the graphics but the kick arse sound track, yet didn\'t like the sequel for the ps2.... do you think i\'ll be disapointed?
No, it is quite a step up from fusion which i didnt get along with that much either.
Been playing this rather a lot in the last few days. Even though it felt as though it took about 3 years to download on my super-speedy 1m/b connection!
Really enjoy the game, and the graphics, sound and presentation are all up to usual Wipeout standards.
It does make me feel a little nauseous though, maybe I need to sit further back from the telly!
Got this last night, seems pretty good graphics are lush and what a soundtrack! Noisia FTW!!
Right I've just noticed something. I said at the start that I wasn't exactly having the best of success, and that I was struggling to get golds even on novice level. I then checked my times, and for a couple of tracks I'm about 18th on the global rankings, and *still* have only got silver.
So, are you guys all playing with Track Assist on to get golds? Cos that's the first thing I turned off..
I've got golds on all of the novice tracks in the first class/part/section of the game, it took me ages to get them with me using every speed boost available on every lap. I haven't got track assist on and if I'm totally honest I got some of the golds with only a fraction of a second to spare.
I'll have a look at my times later but I doubt I'm anywhere near as good as you.
Been playing this a bit now, and its really well worth the £12!
Its graphically just wounderful in 1080p, and makes the 52" really come alive for gaming, rather than show up the games, the soundtrack is also as good as the original in keeping your blood pumping. Top notch!
Is there any news as to whether this will be released on disc in addition to online download?
Download only.
why would anyone want the disk version?! Its only 1 gig, and you can always re-download it if you upgrade your HDD (for free).
