    360 on 1440x900 19inch monitor?

Is it true that the new xbox dashboard allows output at 1440x900?

What's the quality like and is VGA better than HDMI?

The less you are, the less you express your own life, the more you have, the greater is your alienated life, the greater is the store of your estranged being." Karl Marx

    Re: 360 on 1440x900 19inch monitor?

Does the current dashboard not work at that resolution?

I would expect you would need a VGA cable to get that resolution though.

As to VGA vs HDMI, I expect that would come down to the resolution and screen your connecting to.

    Re: 360 on 1440x900 19inch monitor?

You would need to use VGA or it would likely default to a stretched 720/768

IIRC you need VGA to get pc monitor resolutions, my hdmi does 1920x1080 not 1200

I do not think it is currently supported, apparently the next dashboard update may include this, or in the future but at the moment no such luck I do not believe.

Apparently the last dashboard update was going to give us much more selection of the resoloution but it has not materialised yet! I need 1440x900 but at the mo am having to run a 1280x768 (i think)

    Re: 360 on 1440x900 19inch monitor?

Well the words '1440x900' were specifically mentioned in interviews and reports leading up to this November update so we can hope.
I think they may have uttered those words once before though....

    Re: 360 on 1440x900 19inch monitor?

The update on November 19th will allow 16:10 resolutions for VGA connections and there is no difference between VGA and HDMI in picture quality.

1440x900 isnt listed in the res list, so you have to use a 16:9 one so never looks brilliant on my monitor. Hopefully 16:10 will come down with the next update.
