Fable 2 'I Gots It' Thread.

Well its a shakey start, to be honest. I'm going to give it a chance though.

Looks ok, sounds ok, nothing amazing but certainly doesn't spoil the game.

No world map... I mean, really. What a stupid thing to do. It rips the heart out of the game, it really does. Gob smacking bad design choice.

A lot of fluff as well, like you'll go into a town square, 48 stalls, selling fish, meat, potions, but really its all the same thing. You only need a potion or 2, and some new weapons. It feels a little bloated.

All a bit meh really. All a bit 7 out of 10.

Hopefully it will grow on me, because I have been looking forward to it, and I really do like RPG games, but after Mass Effect bombed for me, if this one does as well, I might just give up on the genre.

I *really* hope it gets better and I can get on with it, but its quite obvious already - Final Fantasy 7 this ain't.

Thats madness! I need to feel like I'm exploring a fantasy world, and to do that I need to see where the bit I am now is in relation to where I've come from.

pretend its all unchartered and make your own

the poor map was something gamespot (i think) knocked it down on.

how are people enjoying the game overall?

loving it so far i reckon i have knocked up 15 hrs gameplay since yesterday morning( thats alot for me)

will probably end up on it all evening as well!!!

towns are supposed to feel that way the big ones more realistic smaller towns like oakfield only have a couple of shops.

early game is a little boring once you get on a bit you get more action and it becomes alot more fun.

am loving combat doing things like slowtime and then attack or slow down time and then let off loads of fireballs at people

Yeah suppose. Big towns + good map = fun. Big towns + worst map I've ever seen in a game = not so much.

had similar issue in love hurts quest retrieved part 2 gave it to guy but mission never moved onto next bit area i needed to go to stayed locked. fortunately had not sdaved for a while so reloaded.


another feature missing which i think is more important than a world map is multiple save files, i always have 2 saves on an rpg in case this happens

It's the one where you get your magic from at the start, I needed to give a thing to the woman to translate (I thought I had already done it) and then when I gave her it the teleport bit to the outside dissapeared!!! I can't backtrack either as the game makes you jump down a ledge so I am stuck inside.

Will try reloading it tonight, but any time I try to leave it says I am in a scene, and I can't kill the woman, or get out or kill myself

bad luck!!

just finished it as good character is well short will go back through and make evil choices so i can see the destroyed towns etc it will cause then file it away i think.

good game not as great as i'd hoped sadly.

It's not bad, but it's not amazing either. I just can't get my head around how much of a step back they've taken from what made the original so good though, might pop that in once I've completed 2 again as an evil git. As someone has said the lack of a proper map is a mindblowingly poor decision.

I did get married though, have a child and then try to shoot it. Wouldn't let me though.

Its like... so bad I'm still hoping its some sort of joke. How can you release a game like this with no map? I mean, are the team behind it actually mad? Add that to the glitches, how short it is, the fact that its just not very interesting to play... what a let down.

Seems most peeps are in agreement as well. Shame really.

The idea is that the breadcrumb trail relpaces the need for a map.....it's a bad idea

Steven, just say the word and i will come into your game and execute your wife. The child will then be carted off to the orphanage.

The other alternative is to take her down the the chamber of shadows thingy and execute her on the wheel of misfortune.

steven point your gun at him and a skeleton head appears for down on the d-pad press it to turn safety off and murder your family as much as you like
