Xbox 360 VGA Adapter sound out...

Howdy folks,

I'm leaning towards getting an Xbox 360, and with having a rubbish TV in my room, looking to get a VGA cable with it to plug into my monitor and play it through that.

I've been told that the sound output with the VGA cable is in the form of the red/white RCA plugs, is that correct?

If indeed it is, I'm in a slight pickle - I don't have any amp or anything to plug that into, my speakers are 3.5mm jack only.

To that end, does anyone know of an adapter that would take 2xRCA and have 1x3.5mm output at t'other side, preferable all female on the adapter so that I can then plug the speaker plug into the adapter?

If not, any other possible ways to work this?
