Help with wii setup on monitor
Firstly after trying for months to purchase a wii console and wiifit bundle I gave up and have purchased seperately. Hope they will come in the post next week, well Game say they are posting the console today and carphonewarehouse are waiting for stock of the wiifit eventhough they took my money.
Ok back to why I need help: I want to get the correct cable to set it all up. Here's what the console will be connected to (well if I can):
Monitor:Dell s2409w
Speakers: Creative I-trigue L3800
On the monitor the connectors are HDMI, Analog VGA and DVI and speakers shouldn't be a problem.
Also on a side note is these are the games I purchased, are there any other games I should purchase at the moment or wait until the Jan sales:
Wiifit (fingers crossed)
Mario Kart with wheel (will go out and get another one today)
wii sport
Monopoly
Mario and sonic olympic games
wii play
P.s. I'm not rich, just a bit depressed so blew all my savings. Purchase was for health reasons.
Re: Help with wii setup on monitor
I'm afraid to say you might have a few issues connecting the Wii to that monitor. The Wii doesn't officially support and of those outputs, though you may be able to get an unofficial VGA cable.
The output options are:
- Composite video
- RGB (Scart)
- Component video
Good luck!
Re: Help with wii setup on monitor
I'm using composite to my Plasma TV.
Might be worth reading this AV Forums thread:
http://www.avforums.com/forums/wii/8...yone-done.html
It suggests that you can buy a composite to HDMI convertor, but £30 seems a bit steep to me :(
Re: Help with wii setup on monitor
Since the wii supports scart, you can get scart to vga cables such as this one:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hama-SCART-T.../dp/B0002W69MY
cheaper than the hdmi option, but i dont know what quality is like using this system.
