Need some help and advice?
Hi everyone,
I am interested in setting up my xbox 360 console to the internet but am unsure on what I need to do this.
I am looking to get the xbox 360 Live subscription. I was wondering, would a normal usb router like this
BELKIN N WIRELESS USB ADAPTER or anything similar work instead of the official xbox 360 one?
Also, what USB adapters could I use to do this which are good but work out relatively cheap?
My computer with the Modem is only two rooms away.
thanks

From the sounds of things and I could be wrong you currently use a usb modem to connect to the internet? If that is the case you'll need to configure Internet Connection Sharing on your PC to share the internet connection between itself and the xbox 360.
I'd recommend if the above is the case you transition from a setup of:
pc + usb modem --> internet
to
pc + xbox 360--> router (with inbuilt modem) --> internet.
If you buy a router with wireless built in (which pretty much all do) your PC could connect to the router wirelessly and you could connect your 360 directly to the router via cat 5 or 6 cable. The router could be located in the same room as the 360.

Unfortunately a USB one won't work due to drivers iirc. An ethernet wireless bridge/adapter would however.
