Resident Evil 5 Demo on XBL

Has anyone had a chance to play this yet? This is one of my "must buys" of 2009 and I enjoyed the demo although the playable levels are a little random as it drops you pretty much straight in without any explanation of the story line. This I suspect is however a good move on Capcom's behalf as it is not spoiling too much.

Graphics are superb, gameplay has the same panicky feel that Resi4 had which I loved to bits!

Its under half a gig download so get on XBL and download it now!

I was hyped about this, got the demo and thought DAMN they fooked it up, Res Evil 4 feels like a better res game to me. I will put this on my maybe list for now and give the demo a shot again.

Re: Resident Evil 5 Demo on XBL

I am really enjoying the demo. It was difficult to adjust to the controls after last playing Resident Evil with the Wii mote, but it is worth the effort.

The team dynamic is excellent and makes for a great online co-op experience, assuming you can avoid the early quitters (when joining or hosting ). With a couple of people who work well together, the game really comes into its own. Apart from this new addition, its standard Resi gameplay and I cant complain at that. I cant wait to try out some new weapons and start upgrading them.

The sound and visuals are very impressive and help to crank up the tension no end.

I am going to pre order it and look forward to getting stuck in to the story mode

If you are playing the demo, dont forget the machine gun in the top right corner (silver case) on the first map.

What? I have had it pre-ordered since november

The controls are hard to get used to, even trying to have the style based on RE4... saying that, I've only had one try of it, which ended abruptly as I was smashed by a huge axe. A bit harsh, although not quite as bad as getting chainsawed in RE4

Really enjoyed the demo. I've not played a Resident Evil game since the 2nd one, so I have nothing to compare it to as far as the 4th one goes.

    Already pre-ordered the CE

The death sequence that I saw was pants tbh. And because it's the demo, you got ages to wait until you can do anything else.

I too couldn't get used to the controls, but have steadily gotten a bit better with them and managed to get past the first level earlier.

On the Shanty Town level I got stuck on the chainsaw guy, he just seems to soak up bullets, and Sheva came to a rather abrupt end after a meeting with his 'saw

I really like the amount of enemies their is this time round. It's alot of fun shooting your shotgun and downing about 5 guys . Can't wait to see more weapons, locations and bosses... I would love to see you being able to wield a chainsaw .

Re: Resident Evil 5 Demo on XBL

I was very underwhelmed by this, controls were awful & clunky, I'm not a fan of the inventory system even though I know why they implemented it like that.

Graphics were good & I think it could have been amazing but I won't be buying this, it just doesn't flow like a good game should :-(
