House of The Dead: Overkill (Wii) has just turned up!
Trouble is I'm packing for an early start as I'm flying out to Canada in the morning for a couple of weeks
Curse you cruel hand of fate, CURSE YOU!
They should release shotgun controllers with blowback as well
It turned up in my letterbox this morning too!!! Luckily, have today and tomorrow off, so managed to play the first few levels. Thought it was pretty good, definitely more fluid than umbrella chronicles. Looks half decent (for that sort of game) and all in all, seems a worthwhile purchase.
Only thing that is bugging me is the lack of an option to customise buttons. Its not as if there are loads of things to do, so it couldnt have been that tough. I just find rapid pressing of the A button easier than with the B. After a while, I get a slight pain in the wrist...
Maybe I'll try and pick up a pistol shell, and then that should make it better.
Try this http://www.davidhawley.co.uk/WiiSensorBar.aspx
Also, check your settings as there's an option for putting the sensor bar above and below the TV.
Without the use of candles, what would be the best way to 'lengthen' the sensor bar (without fire hazard - i.e. candles)?
I am having some serious calibration issues. The problem is, I am using a projector screen in a narrow room and so I am effectively seated less than 6 feet away from a 84" screen. When I try to calibrate, I can't even get the second shot (bottom right) to register.
The only way I can play the game now is to hold the Wii mote really low and make angle adjustment from there. And it's simply not enjoyable this way. I didn't even bother beating the first boss because I couldn't get precise shots in this way.
Ya could make ur own sensor bar?

I was looking into that just now. Although looking at the page in the previous link, it looks like I am going to need a sensor bar of about that's 6-7 cm long. I am pretty sure that's about length of an AA battery lol (and here I was thinking that a bigger screen would've required a longer sensor bar).
I was thinking of using something a lot more ghetto than that as depicted here: http://www.wonderhowto.com/how-to/vi...do-wii-205500/
The problem is, I am not sure what which LED to get for this to work (I know next to nothing about electronics). Is there anything you can suggest, perhaps from a place like Maplin?

A bit of searching about and they seem to be the best choice from maplin
