Hi, i am a student trying his best to setup a home cinema on a budget. I am wanting to connect my xbox 360 to my logitech x540 speaker setup through my computer via a soundcard. At the moment i have a Creative X-fi Xtreme Audio PCI-E. Many people have the flickery, crackling sound within certain situation in games and movies etc, from what iv read explosions are the worst, however i have this situation all of the time the system is powered on and has dolby digital enabled. I am aware this is a problem with these soundcards, are there any fixes i can do short of buying a new card. If the best option is to buy a new card what would be a good choice or what i need to look for when browsing cards. Also will the audio passin through a soundcard caue a delay in the delivery of the audio.
Many Thanks
Matt
