    Fifa 09, EA Network Kick?!!!!

Just a query guys.My mate bought Fifa 09 and every time we try and setup a game online he gets kicked at some point from the ea network. Getting a bit tedious. Anyone any ideas why or settings we could check?

    Cheers

Guys, I love this game and never have had a problem with my connection. My brother lives in the US and we have lag free games most of the time. As mentioned look at port forwarding.

You'll be please to know this was only a problem for a week or so, the whole of last week we couldn't connect to the servers either, so it's not a problem that has been around for long...

    Been fine this week.

Port Forwarding? Is that in the settings? Not at my PS3 at present so may be asking a silly question.

Re: Fifa 09, EA Network Kick?!!!!

port forwarding is the ability to open certain "port" or "ranges" within the router to an internal IP address of a device.

As such, check the router manual, login to the router menu using the IP address it has and adjust the settings from here.

I have a similar problem with Fight Night 3. For some reason me or my bro get kicked mid-fight for no reason - this is the only game that gives us this problem!!

Its an EA game too so it must be their servers??

ps3 uses upnp... so no need to forward ports surely?

i think it's just poor EA servers, as with most other of their games.

Could be, my mate's problem was with Battlefield Bad Company and a believed conflict with his Virgin Media set up. Port forwarding worked for him though.
