Rockband with GH3 Guitar

I've been thinking about buying Rockband for a while now, however looking about the net the compatability is questionable with the GH guitars.

I bought GH3 with the guitar in the box (its the Gibson wireless guitar, Slash was on the front of the box also!!! ), from what I have read Activision stopped a patch from being released last year. Then elsewhere I read that the patch had been allowed and it now works. A llot of conflicting info

Can anyone confirm whether this GH guitar definately works on Rockband before I go out and spend my hard earned.

P.S : It is the PS3 version I am talking about here and its the wireless guitar I have!

I bought GH3 box with guitar and also GHWT with full set of instruments. Shortly after I also bought RB1 with no instruments. All but my drumkit worked fine.

Since then, I've got RB2 and imported the songs from RB1 into it. Drums/guitars all work fine.

There are little things that differ tho, e.g. RB1/2 don't use all the pads on drumkit and the solo bar on the GHWT guitar doesn't do anything in RB2. I can't say it bothers me much tho and I prefer the GH peripherals over RB which I've tried at mates. It might just be a case of what you're used to tho.

Guitar works, but sadly drums don't

But to confirm, the drums (and guitar) will work on RB2. If you look on the RB forums there were many requests but the developers just refused to make drums work on RB1.

So buy RB2, then pay £2.50ish and copy your RB1 songs to your hard drive for use in RB2.

On that note - can anyone lend me RB1? Please?!
