Top 5 Wii Games : the list please

Lo people.

Sair fancies a new Wii game.... she's managed a year with just Wii sports (and D&DO online on PC, IL-2 and Tomb Raider on PS2).

Now, genre can't be shoot em up, cos if she was into those, she'd be playing ARMA2 with me...

So, exluding the rapid fire 1st person shooters, which are the top 5 Wii games of all time, genre irrespective.

Mario Kart is awesome and the new Mario Bros game is getting a lot of praise

Family Trainer (can lead to uncontrollable giggle fits. If you don't believe me, pop round for a game)
Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles
Super Smash Bros. Brawl

It's difficult not to list all Mario related games. Want Tony Hawk Ride too, but I is pennyless

If you like point and click adventures, Zack and Wiki's Quest for Barbarosas Treasure is superb.

Mario Kart Wii is fun, so +1 for that.

Mario Galaxy is very good too.

Also, what about Guitar Hero/DJ Hero?

Okami, No More Heroes and Resident Evil 4 are also worth a look.

I can vouch for Tiger Woods 2010 being very good, especially when the motionplus pack is used

In all honesty that is the only game I play on the Wii now with the unit gathering dust under the TV until I turn it on to play golf

Mario Kart Wii, bought my sister it and ever since then the Wii's been in my room instead
(it also gets used for the iPlayer )

World of Goo on WiiWare is absolutely superb. The PC version might be slightly more precise with a mouse instead of the Wiimote, but you can have multiple players for co-op tower building on the Wii.

Apart from that, I'd round out my Top 5 with Rock Band 2, Guitar Hero 5, The Beatles: Rock Band and Guitar Hero World Tour for a full and varied array of titles.

I haven't played it yet admittedly but LostWinds & LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias look like really fun, chilled out platformers

I'd second that. Some absolutely devious puzzles in there, and great wiimote interaction.

But apart from that - like most others have said. Zelda, NMH, RE4 etc
