    Halo OSDT

Is this a add on for Halo 3 or can you use it without H3?

    Re: Halo OSDT

    It's stand alone.

Though IMHO, not all that good. It's pretty much the same engine as Halo 3 but the missions aren't very inspiring, I never tried the multiplayer though.

    Re: Halo OSDT

Aye the ODST campaign is pretty dire, the multiplayer is just Halo 3 but with all the map packs.

    Re: Halo OSDT

OK thanks, I am going to leave it for now then and hopefully pick it up somewhere dirt cheap.

My attention has turned to mass Effect 2 which looks a pretty amazing game. My question to you though is, should I get the original M.E. to catch up with the story or is that not really necessary?
I see the Mass Effect - 2 Disk Special - Classics Edition is going for a Tenner just now so can't go wrong at that price?

Not bad, I actually really enjoyed ME1 - still yet to finish ME2, also trying to juggle playing Final fantasy while churning out this arse-cancer of a computing coursework -_-

    Re: Halo OSDT

That is a great price Terbie but I spent enough on games and HD-DVD's yesterday to last for a couple of weeks. I even managed to buy ME2 twice
I bought a brand new one from ebay and also one from Lovefilm via amazon.

I have no recollection of pressing the buy button on the Amazon site (and no I had not been drinking yesterday)

I will keep the used one and punt the new one back on ebay. I will get Halo 3: ODST when the dosh goes in to my paypal account, though I doubt that deal will still be on the go next week.

    Stuff I got yesterday

Mass Effect - 2 Disk Special - Classics Edition
    Mass Effect 2 x 2
    Gears of War 2
    Ghost Recon A.W. 2
    Mirror Edge (Ps3)

Got the last two for pennies really so could not resist, plus I nabbed a few dirt cheap HD-DVD's for just over £10 for the 3 of them.

    Ray
    Backdraft
    Casino

All in all it was a good evenings entertainment shopping, the only way to shop as far as I am concerned. No pushy sales people following you around the store either looking for commision or making you feel like a crack fiend on a shop-lifting frenzy.
No having to fight your way thru crowds of manic mums with prams (and they aint scared to use them)
No waiting in huge Q's for a taxi home or if you drove to town astronomical car park fees or worse if you have been towed away by some private firm who will hold the vehicle to ransom

That's my rant for the week over

    Re: Halo OSDT

A good selection you have there, but I do think ME1 is a must before ME2 just for the additional (irrelevant) story features. Just having someone you recognise pop up and mention somethign is awesome.
