More realistic, less difficult (maybe because of my 1000's of hours of gt5p) and lots more to do.
The tuning options are better too. No more stage 3 turbos on a 1lt engine and you have 300hp etc etc.
If anything this is more like gt3 than gt4. Gt4 was far too serious, this is not !

Ah OK - thanks. I actually liked putting a stupid amout of turbo in a tiny car that really couldn't take it and then attempting to wrestle it around a track!
It's all still there... just not the level of insanity that came before.
Ie no micra super turbo that has 230 hp etc.
Or maybe I aint found the right car yet.

An 8 seems a fair score to me. As per the review snippet, there does genuinely seem to be a lack of 'polish'. Surprising given its taken the best part of 4/5 years and while playing it i have been left wondering what they've been doing.
Haven't got round to online properly yet because it was half-broken/full of idiots.

As a single player game it looks like it could fulfil a lot of time, but to make up for the poor multiplayer (at the moment - lack of options for setting up different races, classes etc.) it would have to be very polished for me - the lack of detail for standard cars and other failings noted in the reviews mean it's not.
Shame really, I was looking for an excuse

if u love racing games and care more about handling and physics then yes. toss in the fact this game will last you years trying to unlock 1000+ cars and the amount of online and offline options available to you.
yup. get home early so they can play the game themselves

The issue isn't the content, its if the game is interesting enough to keep your around long enough to collect all the cars.
Also, does anyone know if more dealerships or cars appear as you level up as there definitely isn't 1000 cars cycling through the dealerships, I'd be surprised if there was more than 300 which are currently showing up at the minute.

You get access to older models from the Used Cars section.
I get that, but its only a cancerous selection (I'm guessing they're randomly generated) and theres no decent search or sort option.
The Bugatti and RB car must be unlock only then as neither have a manufacturer in the 'new' dealership'.
