Battlefield:Free2Play The next game of the series?

    Link to teaser video

EA announced today their next generation free-to-play Battlefield game called Battlefield: Play4Free. It utilizes the weapons of BC2 and the leveling system of Battlefield: Heroes. While it's not Battlefield 3, EA is quite confident with their next release for the series. The overall feedback from the community has been positive, however many pc gamers have stated that the game is unoriginal and another distraction.

Details on the game are slim, but the factions include USA and Russia (however, a MEC flag can be spotted on a vehicle in the trailer.) It is expected to be released for PC's in 2011 and will support up to 32 players. EA also stated that the game would be deeply connected to Battlefield 3, yet no details were specified.)

Question: So with all the hype of black ops all gone, will the new game that everyone talks about be battlefield 3?

    Thanks mate, signed up.

Looks a lot like BF2, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Agreed, i'm expecting there to be some kind of mod for it like there were for battlefield (i.e Project reality).

But hopefully this will give a glimpse into BF3. Which hell i'm looking forward to.

Don't get your hopes up too much, you know it's going to have an in-game market system where you buy weapons and equipment for money.

I have an feeling that EA is testing the ground for these type of systems.

True, but I don't think i'll be using money to buy equipment for it. Tbh, i'llbe just playing it to pass the time XD for other releases

Re: Battlefield:Free2Play The next game of the series?

I love the battlefield series, but this free2play version is rubbish, the main reason for it sucking so bad is that your locked into using one class when you register, which is a key aspect to every other battlefield game. Maybe I was expecting to much from a game like this, but your best of just getting bad company 2.

Re: Battlefield:Free2Play The next game of the series?

I think you should be allowed a minimum of three characters to start
Right now you have to pay cash for a third character - there are 4 classes

But i love and bought into it anyway

My tip is rent a auto shotgun for a day to grind your sniper up a few levels at start

but it is fun and fast

Re: Battlefield:Free2Play The next game of the series?

Agree with poster above me- Battlefield P4F is quite the leap forward into casual FPSs. I had a little go on it a while back, there were 1 or 2 hiccups with server lag, but otherwise gameplay was solid.

    KARKAND FTW!
