There will be soon enough. Based off the recent announcement, there will be many big titles coming this year (including Mario Kart). I think I will wait until it hits around the £150 price point before I pick one up. I feel the hardware is too weak to merit the current asking price.

£150 will definitely make me bite. I really want a Nintendo where i can use an Actual Control Pad again?

Does the Pro Controller work with All games or is it a selection?

Can't see them releasing their AAA titles and then slashing the price in half. I expect a £50 reduction in console price s/w prices are all over the place at the minute but I can see that hitting £35ish.

As for the experience it's a massive hit with the family allowing eveyone to get in on mario at once is cool. The 3rd party releases need to drop in price; they're just ports of existing code with a few bug fixes, sucks to pay premium for what is essentially the same game.

    It's a totally different console.

A small selection. But the gamepad's not a bad control pad.

    Re: Wii U

I'm holding off until the big hitters are out, 3D Mario, Zelda, Mario Kart etc. Probably in a few years time when the price should easily be sub £200.

Still got plenty of PS3 games to play and the impending PS4 to look forward too.

    Re: Wii U

Am a little disappointing with the Wii U. I got one at Christmas time I was hooked on ZombiU after I was done with that there really was noting else to play other than Sega all star racing. There is still naff all to play on the system.

    Re: Wii U

I own one that hasn't been used in months. Played NSMBU and ZombiU, not had a reason to pick it up since.

Only a selection. It feels like a cheap xbox controller, I couldn't get used to it. The gamepad feels better to use for me.

Assassins Creed III no good for it?
Seems to be a long list of decent games already to me. Am I missing something?!?

    Re: Wii U

There is definitely a bit of a cloud hanging over it to be honest. I have got NSMBU but havent started it in earnest yet.

However, what I did do was download Need For Speed Most wanted. Not everyone's cup of tea, but it's really good on several levels.

Graphically it's decent and the lighting and textures are nice and show that Criterion really worked hard on it. Loving the off screen play for a quick race whilst sat in bed before I get to sleep. Frame rate is very consistent too.

Apart from that there isn't too much out there to interest me, and it's a shame that the third party games haven't come on as much as I had thought. Still love it and will be worth it when the first party games come.

Strangely, what I want most isn't Zelda, which is odd as I love it, but a Metroid. Seeing what retro can do with hardware and their artistic direction will be great.

    Fingers crossed :-)
