The Halo franchise is owned by Microsoft Studios, so i it will not be on PlayStation anytime soon.... However it is possible for Bungie to create some new IP exclusive to PlayStation which could be similar to Halo.

No, Microsoft owns the brand "Halo" and its own studio, 343i is in charge of the development. You won't see it on Playstation.

However, Bungie, the developers of Halo are making "Destiny", which is multiformat (and looks incredible!)

Bungie, the original developers prior to Halo 4 (i.e. all the good ones) are now working on the multi platform title Destiny, which looks amazing.

around 1999 and 2001 Microsoft came to Bungie to offer them a contract to release the game for them on their new (old) xbox. as a result of this Microsoft bought the rights of the Halo franchise and everything from the halo universe. this is why after bungie released halo reach and ended their contract with Microsoft the new creators of halo turned into 343 industires. Halo will only appear on PlayStation if Microsoft do a deal with Playstation and sell them the rights to halo or allow them to feature it on their systems, given how big the halo franchise is or was after 343 lowed our expectations with halo 4 I assume that Microsoft wont give up one of their biggest xbox exclusives to one of their biggest rivals.

Xbox ie. Microsoft are currently in the process of doing another re-mastered edition of Halo however this time it looks to be all of the numbered titles in the series 1-4 with multiplayer across the whole 4 games. Looks to be quite good but it is again a re-release of games.

And like heinsmit said above, Destiny is essential the next Halo and that will be out for the PS3

Destiny is being created by the guys who made halo (bungie), and is being published by Activision. It is set in a similar world and the gameplay is pretty much the same, but it is not Halo.

Halo will likely continue to be published by microsoft, therfore being xbox exclusive.
