You could argue, in fact I am arguing, that Nintendo ignored industry practices and did what they needed to do to create a compelling and successful platform.
They kinda have a history of doing that, even if there was a few flops on the way...

I think you're overestimating its size and underestimating how usable it is! When I next find myself in London I'll be using my switch on the tube for sure.

The thing about PS4 and Xbox, if you're a PC gamer then these consoles are kinda expensive and a step back. The switch sits outside that barrier because it gives you something different.

The reason why I'm interested in nintendo is the first party games but still don't feel the hardware matches the price point ever for me. I kinda wish nintendo would stop developing consoles and just make their games for all other platforms. Also sony first party games are amazing and unique and I will always buy a playstation because of them and feel like I'm getting the best of all worlds as the hardware keeps up and obviously the games(there are soo many that don't have a pc equivalent).

    Re: Switch

But the hardware is essentially a Custom Tegra tablet with Nintendo quality game controllers (they always make the best D Pad) and a TV dock included. For ~£280 that's a bargain IMO.
