SNES Classic :-) back in Sept

USB powered, pre loaded with games and it's gonna be great for showing the kids what used to rock the world

HDMI link, no slot for the old cartridges mind you.

All the pre orders have already sold out and the scalpers have already started listing them on eBay for 2-300 pound.

Hopefully I will be able to pre order one from Game at Metro Center or somewhere else as missed the NES Mini. Nintendo REALLY need to firstly somehow stop the scalpers and secondly they need to be creating more units for the masses.

Worth it for the original Mario Kart and F-Zero! Next year could be the N64's turn and then the Game Cube after that!

Re: SNES Classic :-) back in Sept

Yeah, I have my N64 setup to the right of my TV unit (also have a second NTSC machine with cart slot notches removed for NTSC releases) and my Gamecube is setup to the left, I adjusted the Gamecube potentiometer to focus the laser on it so I can run homebrew stuff after writing it to disc, pretty easy to do following the many vids out there, must have a multimeter though to do it to check resistance.

I did get rid of my SNES a few month back as only had 3 games for it (for over 3 years now) so it was just sitting gathering dust.

If they made a decent number of units for initial shipment, then there couldn't be any scalpers. Sadly I think they want the units to be rare.

Edit: Or perhaps not. Nintendo claim there will be "significantly more" of these than there were of the NES classic edition where they only made 2.3M devices. https://arstechnica.co.uk/gaming/201...es-buy-resale/

That's quite the limited run. The Dreamcast was considered a failure with 9.1M consoles sold, wonder how close to that figure Nintendo will get this time

You can currently get the Nintendo Classic Mini: Super Nintendo Entertainment System from the store £69.99. I hope they release a N64 Classic, but they will have a problem with 3rd party games; a lot of the good N64 games weren't made by Nintendo.

Nostalgic, but I honestly still prefer emulation.
