PS3 is most pre-ordered console

Online retailer Play.com is taking six times more pre-orders than Xbox 360 - and 15 times more than the Nintendo Wii.

its weather or not after the initial rush if they continue to sell fast. or weather we get a scenario like the states where people who have bought multiple PS3's to sell at profit end up making a loss because you can walk just walk into a store and get one no trouble

I also laugh at Nintendo fanboys screaming about innovation and originality. Why then are you still playing games of Mario, Zelda, Metroid etc... You say PS3 has no games. That's true now, but there are some good ones coming. Name me 3 titles for the Wii that are coming out that are must buys?

The 360 has some appeal. Gears looks quite good. I'd need to play it to make a judgement though. Halo I found boring, tedious and repetitive. Online is something I care little for because it's full of arseholes. The whole Live thing though does look nice.

I'm going for the PS3 based on what I know is coming (titles that WON'T switch). MGS4, GT5, F1 games and Ace Combat are all titles I am really looking forward to. The only other games that are coming that I have an interest in are Crysis (PC), C&C 3 (PC) and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (PC). If the PS3 is going to die, as long as those games come out, I'll be happy.

Also, I visit a PS3 specific forum quite often for news and such, and there are quite a lot of people pre-ordering up to and exceeding 4 consoles, purely to sell on ebay. That said, there's an equal number of people telling them that they won't be able to sell them and make a profit (£650 for a PS3 anyone???).

And I want Blu-Ray to win the war. Nothing to do with Sony, I just prefer its capabilities (higher capacity and I like the Java idea) over HD-DVD, which has always looked to me as a cop-out.

Exactly my man. Mind you, depends exactly how you look at it. Nintendo lead the market for quality of game, always have done, always will do. The all conquering Sony lead the way for most other things (£££ ), Microsoft are at the top of the online gaming tree.

Honestly, I'm not messing about, I am observing reality as it happens. This is a genuine phenomenon, and one which I am interested in. Its a social observation. Something to do with tribes and a need to belong.
