if the "hissing" noise is cause by low-end supplied earphones would you buy a higher-end apple earphones or a diferrent make?

Personally i would get anything but Apple headphones. They are most likely vastly over priced because they come is a fancy box and are white. Sennheisers are pretty good
how about Sony in-ear earphones? the small buds type. and is there an eqalizer/bass settings on the Touch?
I was tempted by this device, but I dont think I am gonna get it now, read so many reviews that arent positive
If the device had GPS and some mapping software I would have snapped it up, fair play its a mp3 player but Apple are trying to make it much more.

dont get the apple touch yet guys...it has only been out a few weeks - let the problems sort themselves out first...
so would you wait till the 2nd gen comes? or a (vastly improved) firmware update in a few months?
Depending how much you need it, just let it run for a few more weeks/months I think..or do a google search and see how people with the first ipod touch are doing etc...
but obviously, if you want it now, you get the benefit of something very new that no one has but higher probability of faults...sort of like buying a car
i do want one but the capacity is very small
