I only just seen the first...last night.
Truly great film. Highly recomended for "people watchers" ie people who like studying character conflict and interpersonality exchange....
and twisted killing...natch

hmm so tempted! but it would mean i need to flash my nice dvd-rw with dodgy firmware to make it region free
the first BR film was great, but a bit too twisted maybe...
i dont think the second one is as good as this first- but then again i didn't expect it to be.
the 1st one was great! I saw it on its premiere! (Northern Irish premiere lol). The second one looks like a tacky cash in but ill still give it a go!
The 1st one was great the way it showed the different ways people reacted to the situation.
yeah and who was everyones favorite characters???
Mine was the wee commies who were goin to blow up the military, but then no suprise there hehe.

The less you are, the less you express your own life, the more you have, the greater is your alienated life, the greater is the store of your estranged being." Karl Marx
I saw BR1 in the local "arthouse" cinema... not proud of it. but y'know needs must. I loved it. Saw it at the cinema a few times. Bought it, and enjoyed showing it to loads of my mates ! The teacher, Kitano, is a really good director in his own right. If you liked BR1 then track down. and watch his own films. Bit slow paced in places, but worth the effort.
BR2 however ? I will wait till I see it to judge. Personally, I do not think that the story needed another film. It was perfectly formed... and needed no more qualifying.
