Are we talking about animated comedy too? Becuase I would have to stick Family Guy as the best animated comedy show ever.

Family Guy! Such a brilliant style of comedy, not scared of being controversial, and so damn good at it, you just don't care.

Always felt that family guy could be a bit his and miss at times. But when it was good it was really funny. Stewie to his mother - "Unhand me you wretched harridan !!"

Spike Milligans 'Q' was hillarious, Monty Python gained much of their inspiration from it.

Odd that, cos Q came along after Monty Pythons. You're right in some respect though, cos most of the MP team were influenced by the Goons and in particular Spike Milligan.

But Spike was kinda unique, a one-off, total loon and on another planet. And he lived in Catford, known haunt of all ageing Space cadets

Red Dwarf pre series 7, Black Adder post series 2, Fools and Horses apart from the last set of specials, and all of Fawlty Towers.

Oh, and why isn't the Office on the list? Best Brit com in the last few years, by a mile.

Sorry to be a bit of a spod but Q did come first (1969), Monty Python was Seventies.

Only Fools is my number one......but only beats Men Behaving Badly beacuse of the huge range of episodes.....while there is a lot of MBB the Only Fools catalogue insipres me to laughter every single time.

Father Ted is mising from the list but its not gonna still do it forme time after time....I cant watch them over and over

Red Dwarf...nealr got the vote but the later series was.....feeble

Series 7 Episode 2 was one of the greatest episodes *points to avatar* the one with ace rimmer riding the crocodile. TBH it was Kochanski who messed everything up so the rest of series 7 and series 8 sucked
